I’ve arrived at the forum now, and compared to yesterday, there is a new section available, namely the Boiler section. It seems to have been created by separating it from the Equipment section. I have some reservations about creating a separate boiler section; it’s a pity that the forum has sections that are so specialized and narrow in scope. As a primary device for generating steam and providing thermal energy, boilers are indeed widely used in various industries. However, the boilers themselves come in many different forms, but they tend to be quite uniform in appearance. It is the accompanying elements such as fuels like oil, coal, and gas; water treatment for boiler feedwater, as well as for water within the boiler and in the condensate; and the treatment of boiler exhaust gases that truly add diversity to these systems, with variations depending on location and circumstances. So I think the topic related to boilers is too narrow and too specialized, which makes it difficult for the majority of HaiChuan members to get involved. Apart from the few posts that have been organized in this section today, I estimate that very few new posts will be added, and it will remain quite inactive. After all, a lot of content related to boilers has already been published, so it’s quite difficult to add new information to this topic; or rather, it’s too specialized. It’s similar to the relationship between sophisticated and popular content, as I mentioned before in the forum. I previously made a suggestion on a forum to create a new section titled “Thermal Energy and Energy Conservation,” as this section would have a broader scope of coverage. Boilers should be considered just one aspect within it; the concept of thermal energy is much broader, and its contents are more diverse. For example, one of the main focuses of the Thermal Energy Research Institute at Zhejiang University is the research and design of boilers – meaning that boilers are merely one part of the work carried out by that institute. Energy conservation is an important task at present, and it is certainly related to thermal energy. The concept of thermal energy is quite broad; in fact, refrigeration falls under the category of thermal energy. There are the first and second laws of thermodynamics, but no such laws for cryodynamics. Therefore, it is recommended to add a section on \"Thermal Energy and Energy Conservation\". Since the \"Boilers\" section is new, there is no alternative; it is suggested that it be incorporated into the \"Thermal Energy and Energy Conservation\" section at an appropriate time.
In support of energy-saving goals, energy conservation is also an important indicator during the use of boilers. The thermal energy section helps to raise awareness of energy savings as well as various methods for achieving them, and it serves as an effective means to improve boiler management.
