The layout of the forum’s main page has been changed: from a vertical format to a horizontal one with 3 columns per row. Advantage: It can speed up the loading time of the home page. Disadvantages: It may be difficult to get used to it at first. Please share any opinions you have
Let me share some of my thoughts: currently, the hierarchy in the upper part of the home page is a bit unclear. In fact, adding color variations to certain sections can also serve to decorate the layout and provide better differentiation. Changing from a vertical layout to a horizontal one might make the home page look neater than it does now; over time, people get used to certain changes. However, it seems that the faster loading speed is still a more attractive factor – I support this!
Very good, there’s nothing unusual about it; support is appreciated. Thank you for your hard work:handshake
After using it today, I feel that the original vertical layout is still better. A horizontal layout with three columns per row appears a bit messy for the layout, and it is less intuitive and convenient to navigate through the various sub-layouts compared to before.
The browsing speed is quite attractive; it’s just not something I’m used to yet, but it will get better over time – there’s always an adaptation period for any new section. Strongly agree. Hard work to the managers! :It would be better if the handshake feature had an improved search function. This post was last edited by fly2537 on 2007-12-11 16:23.]
Perhaps I’m used to using * in the past, so it still feels a bit uncomfortable, but this makes browsing easier and it’s okay; I’ll just get used to it over time. However, I suggest that the forum administrator not make our interface too flashy – after all, this is an academic exchange forum that should maintain a serious atmosphere, rather than resembling an entertainment section.
It’s okay! However, at first when it was opened, it was indeed a bit difficult to get used to; browsing was fast, but once you got inside, it seemed more or less the same. Changing the home page may not have a significant impact; it just looks a bit fresh for a day or two, and of course there’s also a slight sense of discomfort. If we were to introduce some features specific to the forum, such as adding symbols that could be used to promote HaiChuan widely. It’s still the management boss who works hard. . . :handshake
Speed is more practical than anything else. :victory:
I hadn’t noticed any inconvenience until you mentioned it; upon closer inspection, it does seem a bit crowded. Could we change the background color of each version to something different, like light green or light blue? It shouldn’t be too messy, right? As a bonus, it seems the speed isn’t affected at all – the homepage loads a bit faster than before. Last edited by Nini on 2007-12-12 09:59.]
Thanks for your hard work, boss. I think it’s pretty good; although I was a bit surprised at first, that surprise disappeared quickly. The interface of our forum has been changed, and it feels quite nice – I can adapt to it easily. It might be worth trying to change the color of the section title bars in different areas; using different colors to distinguish them will make things much clearer. Lighter colors can be used instead of dark ones, so that it won’t look too cluttered.
Okay, moderator, thank you for your hard work. *One must always obey the rules.
The new layout is more convenient to use; thanks to the moderator
Speed in opening is a must; habits are developed gradually.
It’s pretty okay~~~~~~ Society is progressing, and forums are developing!!!
It feels pretty good now; it’s quite tidy.
After getting used to it over these two days, I no longer feel any discomfort; in fact, it seems much more convenient and faster than before. I hope the forum will keep improving.
