Different oils have different testing parameters.
Are there different requirements for different types of oils? For example, for gasoline, the most important parameter is the octane rating; for diesel, it is the cetane number; and for aviation kerosene, parameters such as the smoke point and freezing point are important. For a detailed analysis, there’s a lot to learn; buy a book on oil product analysis and take a look.
