There is a reboiler mounted on the platform; should the control valve assembly on its steam inlet pipe be placed on the ground or on the platform?
Since steam pipes are generally laid along the tank walkway, it is better to place the control valve assemblies on the platform. This helps save materials, as well as reduce fluid accumulation and shorten warm-up time.
Generally, the ideal path for steam pipes should be one that goes downward step by step. The steam supply pipes are generally located above the platform, while in this case the points where steam is used are below the platform; therefore, it is the best option to arrange the valve assembly on the platform!
There is no need to place it on the ground; it can be placed on a platform where people can reach it.

In a large project like the one I worked on, the steam control valves for the reboilers were placed on the ground. There are two advantages to this: 1. It facilitates maintenance; climbing up and down on platforms is quite troublesome. 2. Stress issues are easier to address

I agree with the view from Floor 9. Additionally, control valves should be installed in a relatively concentrated manner, at locations that facilitate operation, maintenance, and emergency response in case of accidents.
