Recently, the secondary voltage in the third electric field of our plant’s electrostatic precipitator has been excessively high: it ranges from 80 to 90 KV (the design value is below 72 KV), and this value is on the rise. The secondary current is 13 MA, while the primary voltage is 300 V. Under normal circumstances, the secondary voltage and current should not rise significantly; then why is it so high in our factory?
What is flue gas electrostatic precipitator? Is it a 3-field series configuration? You can check the cathode rapping; if there is a malfunction with the cathode rapping, the possibility of corona closure is high.
Three electric fields in series; Acid production from pyrite ; The positive and negative polarity rapping is normal. If it’s corona closure or excessive dust accumulation as you said, it shouldn’t be sent to a high voltage level. Why is it actually too high?

It was suspected, but the sound of the hammer hitting could be heard at the external shaking mechanism, and no broken fragments of the magnetic shaft were found at the ash extractor; therefore, it is unlikely that the insulating porcelain shaft of the cathode shaking mechanism has broken. However, the raw materials will run out in a couple of days, so there will be a chance to go to the site where the electric field is installed and take a look.
