In my opinion, practical production experience is absolutely necessary! Without experience, there’s nothing others can say according to the standards! But it’s obvious to experts that someone who doesn’t understand design is handling the design work!

There are few other manuals that need to be referred to. I’m sorry, but the manuals listed by the original poster are truly invaluable – I need to learn more as well. During the design process, your supervisor will remind you to refer to relevant design manuals and regulations, so there’s no need to worry too much. Just becoming proficient in the basic Chemical Process Design Manual will already make you quite skilled. 6. Visit professional forums regularly to keep learning and updating your knowledge.
