As the title suggests, the company is planning to undertake a coal chemical project – how should samples be taken for coal quality analysis?
During the preliminary investigation of a project, the focus is on analyzing the quality of the raw coal supply, in order to prepare for subsequent design work. If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. Thank you
During sampling, 0.2 meters of the coal layer is removed, after which four points are taken at equal intervals at the bottom of the coal pile, one point at the top, and four more points at equal intervals in the middle of the coal layer – a total of nine points. It seems you are asking about sampling in coal mines, right? It then depends on the sampling of the coal seams. 4. The number of sub-samples is determined based on the total amount of coal; there is no fixed requirement for the number, but each sub-sample should weigh at least 2 kilograms. 5. To be more specific: we are the investors, and before the preliminary design phase begins, we will provide the design agency with a quality report on the coal to be used as raw material. So: 1. Should it be provided separately as raw coal (specifically for gasification) and fuel coal (specifically for use as fuel)? 2. How can a relatively accurate coal quality report for the raw coal used in the selected coal mine be provided to the design institute? 3. Should we be responsible for collecting the coal samples ourselves, or should we invite a professional agency to handle it on our behalf? After signing a contract with the supplier of the gasification process package, the supplier provides a detailed coal quality analysis report; the client only needs to supply the coal samples. Why carry out this analysis in advance? Moreover, the process package supplier provides such reports free of charge!
Industrial analysis and elemental analysis are required, as well as micro-analysis of ash content. The data from these analyses must be accurate and comprehensive, because the results of these analyses determine which gasification process to choose – which process is more suitable for you
