Is there a general range for the expansion angle and contraction angle of a venturi tube during design? Thank you very much
Regarding the design of the venturi tube: 1. The ratio of its throat length to throat diameter should be selected between 0.8 and 1.0; 2. The contraction angle of the shrink tube is generally selected between 10 degrees and 12 degrees ; 3. The diffusion angle of the diffusion tube is selected to be between 3 degrees and 3.5 degrees. 4. As for the lengths of the contraction tube and the diffusion tube, they can generally be calculated using formulas!
The smaller the converging tube of the Venturi effect, the lower the resistance; generally, an angle of 23° to 35° is used, while the angle of the diverging tube is usually between 3° and 8°. Some believe that an angle of no more than 6° is appropriate
It seems there are foreign designs in which the angle can be adjusted electrically
Could the angle be made a bit larger? Otherwise, the Venturi length will be very long
The converging section of the venturi does not require any specific angle; the diverging section usually has an angle of 3–4 degrees. For the venturi, attention should be paid to the dimensions of the inlet/throat/outlet, with the flow velocity being used for calculations. However, the diverging section must be long enough to ensure that the inertia of the flue gas can be maintained
As a supplementary note, the top plate of a horizontal Venturi should remain level; therefore, the bottom plate should be slightly tilted downward, with an exit aspect ratio of 4/3
