What role does the amplifier play here?

In the newly installed shell gasification unit of our company, the oxygen flow valve and the asphalt flow are under series control, with the oxygen flow being measured using a Venturi meter. Automatic feeding by driving the system means that before feeding begins, the asphalt flow rate is set first; once the connection is established, the oxygen valve opens automatically and gradually increases to the desired flow rate. According to the documentation, since the pressure difference before and after the oxygen pipeline can reach 7 MP when the oxygen valve is opened, an amplifier is incorporated into the oxygen control valve during material feeding. As the oxygen valve opens, the function of this amplifier gradually diminishes; once all the oxygen has entered the furnace and the pressure returns to normal, the amplifier is deactivated and no longer in use. During normal production, the amplifier is not used. May I ask everyone, what is the role of the amplifier here? Could you explain it in more detail? Thank you.
