The company measures the liquid level in its liquid chlorine storage tanks; it has used radio frequency sodium ion level gauges in the past, but these often gave significant errors. After switching to Rosemount radar level gauges a year later, large errors still occurred. Do you know of any other instruments that can be used to measure the level of this medium? The ELL-FI external level gauge produced by Xi’an Dinghua Electronics Co., Ltd. continuously and accurately measures the liquid level inside a tank from outside the tank, without any contact with the liquid or gas inside, thus achieving true isolated measurement. Currently, this type of level gauge is widely used in the chemical industry and performs well. Additionally, chlorine storage tanks are important equipment, and it is advisable to use dual-level measurement. In addition to installing this type of level gauge, it is better to also install a magnetic flap level gauge, as this provides greater safety and reliability. The price of this type of level gauge is roughly the same as that of radar level gauges.

I think: Liquid chlorine itself evaporates, or it might be the vaporization of other impurities... which causes the surface of the radar to be covered with liquid droplets or a film of liquid... thereby interfering with the signals received by the radar waves. It would be better to use another type of level gauge... one based on differential pressure.
Have you checked whether there are any condensed substances on the surface of the radar level gauge?..... Also, it would be good to check if there is any yellowish foggy gas in the empty part of the tank........ But do this while wearing appropriate safety equipment
I think for the measurement of liquid chlorine, it is best to use the external-type level gauge produced by Xi’an Dinghua Electronics; I believe their products have quite distinctive features. The main advantage is that there is no need to make holes in the equipment. It should be noted that liquid chlorine tanks are places with very high safety requirements, so minimizing the number of holes is preferable. Nevertheless, for radiofrequency sodium induction systems, it is still advisable to choose manufacturers of reliable quality, as the viscosity of liquid chlorine is not very high, so there should be no issue with material sticking to the surfaces.
