Starting up the equipment for testing is a rather complicated process, and the quality of organization has a direct impact on the success of this process. It is important to ensure that those involved work in an orderly manner, each performing their duties properly; it is unacceptable to see them either idle or overworked while complaining constantly. I was involved in the commissioning of two production lines! I organized the commissioning for one of those lines. The key aspect, I think, is the proper allocation of responsibilities within each position. When assigning tasks, it’s important to take into account the workload and effort required from employees, as well as the importance of their role, in order to make appropriate arrangements. Everyone should do their own job and take responsibility for it. There needs to be a plan, organization, and contingency plans; regular inspections and guidance are also necessary. One thing that deserves special emphasis is safety, including providing training for employees on safety procedures. These are some of my experiences; I hope they can be helpful to you. I have been involved in and organized the commissioning of multiple chemical processing units. To summarize, here are a few key points: 1. Establish a company-level commissioning leadership team, with the relevant manager serving as the team leader; the team includes representatives from production, technology, safety and environmental protection, logistics, security, finance, the design firm, and the construction contractor. 2. Define clear roles for team members, as well as the organizational structure for carrying out the work – including those responsible for processes, equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, analysis, civil engineering, material management, the construction contractor, and external vendors. 3. Develop commissioning plans and various emergency response procedures. 4. Establish post responsibilities, process guidelines, and safety regulations. 5. Conduct thorough checks before starting the chemical processing operations at each stage. There are many uncertainties associated with commissioning in winter; it is necessary to carry out more inspections, regularly rotate standby equipment, prevent freezing by maintaining continuous flow of water, and raise the temperature of the circulation water, especially in northern regions where freezing is a serious risk. It is recommended to avoid commissioning operations in winter in such areas – safety comes first.
