In accordance with national and industry standards, alloy steel valves must undergo material testing. The valve body is relatively easy to handle – a spectrum analysis is sufficient. However, the valve must be disassembled for internal inspection, which damages its original sealing properties; moreover, manual handling on site makes it difficult to ensure the quality of reassembly. In the event of a leak in the future, we will still have to take responsibility. I believe it is completely unnecessary to inspect the internal materials; as long as the manufacturer provides complete quality assurance documents, the pressure testing is successful, and the material of the valve body is correct, that is sufficient. I think performing a spectral analysis and visual inspection on the valve body is sufficient; I am not in favor of disassembling it. In any case, the original quality is always better than that of a reassembled one, though a sealing test is definitely necessary. As for internal quality, it is ensured through quality management procedures such as the manufacturer’s selection of materials, processing quality, and internal inspections. According to national standards, a random inspection of the internal components of alloy valves is required, with no less than one sample per batch. Since there is a surplus in purchases, this surplus can be used for testing; such valves can simply be marked and not put into use. If the client is not particular, a pressure test alone is sufficient as long as there is a certificate of conformity from the manufacturer. According to national standards, valves do indeed need to be inspected. For valves, the supplier must provide all inspection reports and documentation related to them.
