Questions about chemistry

Dear friends in the chemical industry, I majored in finance; after graduation I joined a consulting firm and am now working on projects related to the chemical industry. Since I don’t have a background in this field, my understanding of it is quite limited. I would like to ask for your advice – especially considering the numerous sub-industries and products within the chemical sector, which can be overwhelming. I don’t know where to start learning. To add: I’m not only specialized in chemistry now, but I’m also in charge of everything related to oil and natural gas as well. I’m really confused
Is it really impossible to find an expert on chemical engineering forums who can offer some guidance? How sad~~~
What knowledge is urgently needed to know? Is it related to processes or project management? That way, everyone can help you better. It is recommended that you first gather some basic knowledge about oil and gas on the forum to get a foundation, and then use keywords as well as the forum’s search function (in the upper right corner) to find materials that are more suitable for you to download and study :)
The scope mentioned by the original poster is too broad; the more vague the goal, the less effective assistance can be provided :)
I advise you not to do it; the scope of this field is simply too broad. Engineering majors are either in physics or chemistry – which shows just how many fields are related to chemistry.
