I am currently considering the size of the system monitor, and there are initially three options: 1) 20-inch LCD, 2) 20-inch widescreen LCD, 3) 22-inch LCD. Those who have experience with these monitors would be able to provide some advice; it would be great if they could also explain why their choice is that one.

A 20-inch widescreen monitor can support a resolution of 1680×1050. Additionally, its price is lower than that of 22-inch monitors, so I recommend you go for a 20-inch widescreen monitor
We usually use 19# wide-screen LCDs, and I think that’s sufficient! But the batch of DELL computers we bought had watermarks all over the screens after less than a year of use!

The number of DATA LINKs per screen in DCS is limited, not unlimited. So a single image cannot depict many things. Current trend: Workstations with four monitors. For example: Dell Precision 390. 20 LCDs will be enough. It’s best not to use a widescreen version, as the visuals are hard to coordinate. The control station is for employees to operate, not for watching movies.

The choice of screen size is related to the system you are using; in systems where the screen size can be adjusted, a larger size is naturally better, as it allows more information to be displayed (Hollyland)； If your DCS does not allow you to set the screen resolution but instead scales the image proportionally, then you should choose an LCD recommended by the manufacturer, or one with a larger size at the same scale.

Any one will do; definitely avoid choosing wide screen. If it’s a new project and configured in wide screen mode, then that option is acceptable. If it’s a existing system being switched from standard screen to wide screen, it would be strange if the operators didn’t get angry at that
