Regarding methanol purification

Some methanol plants incorporate methanol purification after distillation. I would like to ask my colleagues: what is the purpose of this purification, and is it intended for specific users of methanol?
Do you produce methanol separately, or through the production of diethers? Methanol produced through distillation alone generally meets the standards of premium quality, unless further processing of methanol requires it to be refined.
After methanol distillation, methods such as three-column distillation can already meet the American AA standards; thus no further purification is required
Products provided for special users require refinement, as do downstream products. For example, if the downstream process is MTP, PP needs to be refined. Is your unit based on the diol process? If it’s a methanol process, three-column distillation is sufficient for standard processes. This is just my personal opinion for reference only. :loveliness: :loveliness:
