As a clean energy source for the future, natural gas hydrates are receiving increasing attention; investments in this area are also on the rise, with some large-scale projects costing tens of millions. Many energy research institutions and university laboratories are currently studying or have begun to study hydrates, and numerous universities in China have also started such research. The field of natural gas hydrate research holds great promise and is worth discussing. However, there isn’t much discussion on this topic yet. Therefore, it might be useful to create a platform for exchanging ideas regarding new energy sources, including natural gas hydrates, solar energy, wind energy, nuclear energy, etc. After thinking about this for some time, I’ve decided to bring it up for discussion to hear everyone’s opinions
Opposed – this would gradually lead to the creation of numerous sections, with overly detailed divisions that would result in a decrease in popularity.
It’s a great suggestion. Although we’re all in the tech field, we should stay informed about the latest developments in this area.:handshake
I think that by discussing more topics, we can attract more members to join this community. There was a survey conducted earlier on this forum; I remember that many people found it through Baidu searches. The more areas we cover, the greater the chances of being found through searches, and thus more people will get to know, understand, and join Haichuan Forum
It’s okay to create a new section, but without professionals to manage and drive it, it is likely not to sustain itself in the long term. It would be better to set up an independent section that covers various topics; new content can be tested there first, and if it manages to gain popularity, then considering making it into a separate section might be worthwhile.
The Petrochemical Information section is the one where people post content related to new energy; there is no need to create a new section. If you have articles on new energy, feel free to post them in the Petrochemical Information section. The relevant moderators will give fair ratings.
It’s also a good idea to establish a segment dedicated to new energy sources. We need to not only advance the existing technologies further but also keep an eye on new technologies. As oil resources become increasingly depleted, new energy sources deserve our attention
