Currently, the Haichuan Forum has over 100,000 registered users, but only a few thousand log in each day. Looking through the newcomer introduction posts, many people registered in 2006 and have not returned to Haichuan for over a year now. It is recommended to block and remove the registration numbers of those who have not visited the forum for over a year. Method: Send a warning to users who have not logged in for over a year, and delete their accounts after one week. Scope: The first phase is targeted at users who have not logged in for over a year, whose educational level is below second grade of primary school, and who have posted fewer than 40 posts. I’ve never managed a forum, so I’m not sure how much resource usage these inactive registered accounts represent. If it’s significant, I’m in favor of deleting them; if not, it really doesn’t matter whether they’re removed or not. After all, different people have different opinions. 1. Do not use the number of posts as a criterion; technical forums prioritize quality over quantity. Posting just to fulfill a requirement goes against the purpose of the forum； 2. If the storage required for forum IDs takes up a lot of space, appropriate cleanup criteria can be considered. If the impact is minimal, it is recommended not to bother with this, as it’s unnecessary to waste too much time and effort on matters that don’t hold much significance. :lol
