Absolutely. There is no essential difference in the control of batch and continuous distillation.
It’s not difficult at all; it’s completely possible to exercise self-control, but there’s no need for it. The top temperature can be used as the main parameter for automatic control, since in batch distillation, as the content of light components gradually decreases, the top temperature rises. This allows for intermittent feeding and discharging based on temperature.
