Does carbon dioxide in natural gas have an impact on desulfurization agents, porous silica gel, and activated carbon?
Depending on the water content in natural gas, desulfurization agents primarily remove hydrogen sulfide from it. If the water content is high, the desulfurization agent also has a certain capacity to absorb carbon dioxide, which thereby reduces its desulfurization efficiency to some extent; however, if there is no water present, this has little impact
If natural gas contains water as well as carbon dioxide, using molecular sieve adsorption to purify it can significantly increase its purity.
