Academician Xie Kechang, a renowned expert in coal chemical engineering, stated that the facilities of Yankuang Guotai have created a multi-product production system that integrates coal utilization, power generation, and chemical production, enabling the clean circular use of coal. Moreover, these facilities allow 800,000 tons of high-sulfur coal that could not be mined due to environmental concerns to be put to use again. According to statistics, from January 2006 to the end of October this year, Yankuang Guotai Chemical has transferred 28 sets of new gasification furnaces as well as two sets of acetic acid synthesis technologies with an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons. Clients from provinces and cities such as Shaanxi and Shanxi, as well as countries like India, are also coming one after another to request purchase of Guotai Chemical’s high-tech products.
Compared to Texaco, Yankuang’s technical advantage lies in its strength at large scales; generally, when the scale exceeds 1500, Yankuang has an advantage. As scaling up becomes a trend, Yankuang’s technology indeed has better prospects than Texaco’s.
