The oil-contaminated tank in my workshop stores the light hydrocarbons discharged by the hydrogenation and hydrogen production units. The pump starts to operate once the liquid level rises to around 30, in order to drain the liquid. Due to the high content of hydrocarbons, the pump often gets clogged. I would appreciate it if anyone could offer some suggestions; thank you in advance! Our method usually involves opening the pump inlet drain valve; after draining a large amount of liquid, it can then be pumped out.
Two suggestions: 1. Replace the pump – swap the sludge oil pump for one suitable for pumping light hydrocarbons. 2. Switch to nitrogen pressure delivery, using high-pressure nitrogen to force the oil in the waste oil tank out for loading.
How light are light hydrocarbons? How does it compare to gasoline? It is recommended to use a submersible pump; that’s what we do in our factory

What was said on the second floor is correct; our factory handles things in the same way, and it works well. Alternatively, an additional pumping line can be added to the oily waste tank so that the light hydrocarbons can be transported more quickly. And there will be no time to spare, but be sure to pay attention to the safe pressure setting of your oil tank.
