Which gives a better cold filter plugging point reduction effect, catalyzed diesel with a dew point depressant or coker diesel with a dew point depressant (at the same dosage)?

The so-called fuelwood and charwood are not the final products; both of them need to undergo hydroprocessing to yield products that meet all specifications. Antidetonants are generally added before the oil is sent to the storage tanks. Therefore, after hydroprocessing, these products have basically the same properties, with only slight differences in density. It’s not possible to make comparisons when equal amounts of antidetonant are used

The cold filter plugging point is related to the low-temperature viscosity and wax content of diesel; higher viscosity at low temperatures or an increased amount of wax crystals result in a higher cold filter plugging point for diesel. Therefore, the effect of the added antifreeze should be to reduce viscosity and prevent crystallization. So you should carry out these tests: 1. The low-temperature viscosity or viscosity-temperature properties of the diesel in question ; 2. Wax content in the diesel fuel ; 3. The effect of the added antifreeze agent on viscosity and wax content (since the antifreeze effect is selective regarding different types of oils) – It was said above that it has no effect on straight-run diesel, and that’s because the antifreeze agent used cannot effectively break down the wax crystals; straight-run diesel contains a relatively high amount of wax.
First of all, antifreeze agents lower the cold filter point of diesel, not its freezing point. Antifreeze agents are **more sensitive to isomeric hydrocarbons** in diesel than to nomenclatic hydrocarbons; in diesel, this is manifested as catalytic diesel being more sensitive than cokerized diesel, which in turn is more sensitive than atmospheric-pressure diesel. To enhance the effectiveness of antifreeze agents, first: select the right type; second: broaden the diesel fraction by increasing the components with a boiling point above the initial boiling point and the 95% point; third: introduce a \"trigger\" for the antifreeze agent. Our factory’s experience has shown that the addition of normal paraffin wax oil, accounting for 1-1.5% of the total diesel volume, yields excellent results in enhancing the effectiveness of antifreeze agents! ! This also increases diesel production. Note: These diesel fuels are those that ultimately end up as additives in hydroprocessing! ! Are there any antifreeze additives for lubricating oils? Adding a depressant to lubricating oil with naphthenic characteristics should yield better results.
