How to load fonts in CAD?

I have a CAD font library that I want to use now, but I’m not sure if it comes in different versions. I’m using CAD 2006 – will it work? How do I use it? Could any expert please help me out? Thank you in advance!!!
Open \"Tools\" – \"Options\", go to the \"Files\" tab, click \"Add\" under \"Supported file search paths\", then click \"Browse\" to select your font folder, and press \"OK\". Restart CAD, then open the drawing that contains the fonts from your font library, and they will be displayed properly.
The default file extension for CAD font libraries is .shx； Just place your font file in the FONTS folder located within the AUTOCAD installation directory. When using it, select the TXT font type, choose to use a larger font size, and then select the CAD font you have installed from the box provided. If it’s a regular font, you can use the standard method for installing fonts; you can find out how to do this in the Control Panel
