Does anyone know what water quality is required for a steam boiler with a pressure of 1.6 MPa and a capacity of 20 T/h? Is softened water or deionized water needed, and what standards apply?
Generally, the water quality in Xinjiang is poor, so softened water is used
In the systems we develop, softened water is mostly used, and not much attention is paid to the water softening process.
Steam boilers generally use softened water; if untreated water is used, the boiler is prone to scaling. Scaling creates high thermal resistance, resulting in uneven heat transfer within the boiler, and the areas affected by scaling are likely to get damaged.
