Does an ultrasonic flow meter require one 220VAC supply and one 24VDC supply?

220v is what we refer to as external power supply, used to power the sound wave generator; 24V is for internal power supply, used to drive the transducer unit; many instruments that provide analog signals use this type of power supply, such as pressure transmitters!
The ultrasonic device I use is battery-powered and does not require an external power supply; even those used for networking are battery-powered GPRS devices

I agree with what was said in post 4: some instruments do require dual power supplies; 220AC is necessary for the instrument itself, while 24DC is required by the transmitter (although some instruments do not need it). It’s not necessarily wrong for it to be on the 2nd floor; it depends on which manufacturer it is.
It depends on whether it is a two-wire or four-wire system. For the two-wire system, not much needs to be said. In the case of a four-wire system (i.e., the system with external power supply), there are generally two types of power supplies: one is 220VAC, and the other is 24VDC; the other output is then 4–20mA
