The salary for positions involved in hydrogenation at our plant is lower than that for positions in catalytic cracking, delayed coking, and gas production. I would like to ask those of you who work in refineries: is the salary for hydrogenation positions set in the same manner there as well? Just asking for reference!
I’m not entirely sure, but I think in the field of technology one has to be able to endure loneliness for a while before things become clear
It’s understandable that it’s lower than catalytic, as their operation is complex. It’s unreasonable to say it’s lower than the rest
It is understandable that the wages are relatively higher for complex catalytic processes; as for coking and gas production, whose processes are relatively simple, the hydrogenation requirement should be higher than that for these processes.
In the refinery that our group is building, hydrocracking and hydrorefining are carried out as integrated units, with hydrocracking being the most critical unit in the entire refinery; therefore, the salary there should not be lower than that in other workshops.
The catalytic unit is the core of the entire plant, so high salaries are normal. The hydrogenation position is also very crucial.
