What does “a heart cut of” mean, used as an adjective in front of a noun? I’m completely confused; please help me, experts. . . The original text describes four streams coming out of the distillation tower; the last one is referred to as “a heart cut of stream to be routed to absorption,” which means that this stream is intended to be sent for adsorption. I’ve never seen this usage before; I’ve only used the expression “cut sb. to the heart” to mean to touch someone’s sore spot and make them sad. ““a heart cut of” can only be analyzed based on the context.
