Besides Siemens, which other company makes good compressors?
Atlas Copco, screw compressors.
There are many types of compressors, and LZ should first specify which type of compressor it is.
Both Atlas and Ingersoll Rand are good
Italian Simbilone works too; the quality of domestic Shenmu products is already quite good.
Shenmu’s centrifugal compressors, and Shaanxi Gas Turbine’s axial flow compressors.

We use GE, Siemens, and Mannesmann turbines, as well as those from Shengli Blower (which are considered among the best in China); Shengli Blower produces good axial-flow turbines.
In China, Shengli Gas Turbine’s centrifugal compressors and Shaanxi Gas Turbine’s axial flow compressors are the best options; the joint venture Jinxi (Siemens Huludao) also performs well. Among foreign brands, GE (with high prices), Siemens, Mannesmann, Atlas, Ingersoll Rand, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Dessauln, and others all have their own advantages.

Atlas Newman’s reciprocating compressors are of good quality. However, it is still better to use domestic compressors: first, their price is much lower than that of imported units; second, it’s easier to find replacement parts for them; third, it supports the development of domestic enterprises. The compressors we use in China are all domestic models, while the centrifuges are from Shenyang Steam Turbine Group and Hangzhou Gas Machinery. At my current workplace (Sudan), the centrifuges in use are from Atlas and Japanese manufacturers. For reciprocating compressors, we use both German Newman models and domestic ones. To be honest, we really dislike the Japanese, but their centrifuges are indeed of high quality. None of problems have occurred after two years of operation, whereas Atlas centrifuges have more issues.
