Seeking advice on BMS, AMS, ESD, and SIS in circuit diagrams

Hello everyone, I recently came across some names for systems such as BMS, AMS, ESD, and SIS while looking at circuit diagrams. I’m not sure about some things; could someone with more knowledge give me some guidance? Please also let me know if there is any pattern regarding the various connection methods for circuit diagrams.
BMS: Burner Management System – a fuel management system. AMS: A distributed control network (bus) technology and communication protocol; since it appears on the circuit diagrams, it must be the AMS bus. ESD: Emergency Shutdown System. SIS: Safety Instrumented System, which is generally the same as ESD
