What are the components of the gas at the top of the hydrodesulfurization tower for gasoline and diesel? There is mainly hydrogen sulfide, oil and gas, water vapor. What else? How many types of ammonium salts are there at the top of the tower? Who else has a formula for determining the relationship between the size of the stripping steam injection and the processing volume? Of course, there is also ammonia, and amines may be present as well; these substances react with hydrogen sulfide at low temperatures to form salts, which often cause pipe blockages. Therefore, water injection is commonly used to prevent such problems.
There is also ammonia, and it may contain hydrogen chloride; therefore, the corresponding ammonium salts are ammonium chloride and ammonium hydrosulfide!
Gasoline hydrodesulfurization towers are primarily used to remove H2S; nowadays organic amines are generally employed, so there is no risk of amine salts clogging the pipes
I just can’t figure it out! ! ! It’s common knowledge that a desulfurization tower is used to remove hydrogen sulfide. But I really can’t understand the part in red at the end, and you also say that the pipes won’t get clogged; of course, the pipeline from the top of the tower to the air cooler won’t get clogged, as its diameter is usually 200. However, blockage of the air-cooled tube bundles is a common occurrence; blockage is possible as long as ammonium salts are present under certain conditions.
There is hardly any ammonia entering the desulfurization tower; moreover, since you are using amine solution for absorption and there is already water present, won’t that cause blockages? Haven’t heard of it!
Hey... how is it possible that there’s no blockage? I once posted that there are 6 sets of overhead coolers in the desulfurization tower, and 3 of them are clogged with ammonium salts. I really don’t understand – are you referring to the desulfurization tower used in the hydrogenation process? Don’t compare a coked desulfurization tower with hydrogenation – understand that first. Ammonium salts should be ammonium chloride and ammonium hydrosulfide! Ammonium chloride crystallizes at 180–200°C, while ammonium hydrosulfide crystallizes around 150°C.
