Survey on the usage of crude oil water cutters – how is your experience?
After using it for some time, the water-cutting effect was poor; now manual dehydration is being used instead. The main reason is that the dehydration is not thorough enough, the amount of water removed is small, and some of the water-cutting devices have become damaged.
Many factories are equipped with automatic dehydrators, but their performance is not satisfactory. I’ve also posted several posts about crude oil dehydration; many friends have shared their opinions, which you can take as a reference.

The automatic water separator for crude oil is ineffective; light oil works well, but a filter must be installed at the oil inlet to prevent dirt from entering the separator and blocking the float, which could lead to oil leakage. Our company has experienced such an incident once.
We use an automatic water cut-off device for our installation, but it is operated manually and the water separation effect is not very good.
It seems that some refineries are using pipeline dehydrators in their existing tank areas; I wonder if anyone has information on this

For dehydrators, relative density is the key factor; the heavier the original material, the worse the performance may be. We have two types of oil here; light crude oil yields better results than heavy crude oil
