Our cooling system works in such a way that a cooling water pump is used to lift the cooling water to a height of 30 meters. I would like to ask everyone whether it is better to keep the holes in the return pipes at that 30-meter height open or closed

Your question isn’t clear at all. In a closed-loop system, the circulating water is sent to the users, then returns to the circulation water station where it is cooled by air, before being sent to the users again in this continuous cycle. Water needs to be replenished due to losses from evaporation, leaks, etc. In simple terms, an open circuit means that the fluid is used and then discarded; for example, water from rivers, lakes, or seas is sometimes used as a coolant, and it is discharged directly after passing through the user’s system.
Regardless of the type of circulation system, there should be a vent pipe at the highest point, so as to ensure that there is no air in the water channels. This allows the water to flow smoothly and prevents water from leaking at the locations where the beams are installed

It depends on whether the cooling tower you are using is open-type or closed-type; the holes in the return water pipes of open-type towers are open, while those in closed-type towers are not
