Some of our company’s pumps often stop operating unexpectedly; please discuss the possible reasons for this phenomenon.
Is your pump a submersible pump or a horizontal pump, and what is the connection style between them and the motor?
It is necessary to first check which signals are interlocked with the pump, such as the medium level, motor temperature, motor current, medium pressure, etc. Once it is known which signals are interlocked with the pump, a judgment can be made based on the process conditions before and after the pump stops.
Check what protection mechanisms the pump has, to determine whether the issue is caused by process conditions or by components.
May I ask if the owner stopped the operation manually, or was it due to a fault in the process or equipment interlocks? This will help everyone analyze the situation more easily.

I think at the very least, what you’re trying to convey is that the pump can be started again even after it stops, which indicates that there isn’t a serious problem. 1. If there is a control system (DCS, PLC), it might be due to interlocks; the stoppage of the pump could be caused by interruptions in the collection of signals related to pressure, flow rate, etc. 2. The absence of a system may be due to problems with interlocks such as pressure switches, resulting in faulty operations. It could also be that there are issues with your electrical circuit, an incorrect setting of the thermal relay, or problems with the auxiliary contacts of the contactor

If this problem occurs suddenly after the device has been in use for a long time, then it’s more likely to be a manufacturing process issue; factors such as changes in flow rate, composition of the medium, or temperature can all cause such problems
