In winter, anti-freezing heating pipelines are in operation throughout the factory area. Yet some of the steam pipeline instruments in our factory still freeze. After analysis, it turns out that the condensate water in the steam pressure measurement pipelines is causing this issue, as these pipelines are too long. By moving the instruments closer to the pipelines, freezing can be effectively prevented. Everyone here in the factory surely has experience with anti-freezing measures; please come and discuss this and share your experiences
We install electric heating and insulation on the pressure transfer pipes, and place the important or freeze-prone instruments in insulated boxes
Main anti-freezing measures: 1. Ordinary insulation is suitable for ordinary cooling media (such as cooling water, deep chilled water, industrial water, etc.) that cannot be exposed to extreme cold conditions for long periods of time. 2. Insulation + electric heating is suitable for media that solidify easily. 3. Steam tracing + insulation is suitable for media with very high freezing points. 4. It features continuous flow protection, which is useful for media with high viscosity that tend to solidify easily. The above are my personal views.
