Is a small-diameter tee reliable?

Do small-diameter tees and elbows with a diameter of DN50 or less tend to develop cracks, especially when transporting media with high permeability? I would like to ask those with more experience: what is the manufacturing process for tees and elbows? Are the areas under stress during production actually weak points in these fittings? Some of the tees in my workshop, with a diameter of DN25, were used for transporting hydrogen, and cracks appeared during testing, almost leading to an accident. Welding for sizes smaller than DN50 should be socket welding, and welding inspection is required. Moreover, the proportion of welding inspections to be carried out must be determined based on the medium used; for example, when hydrogen is used, 100% testing should be conducted. Hydrogen can easily cause hydrogen embrittlement in pipes (hydrogen embrittlement refers to the reduction in plasticity and toughness of high-strength steel when heated in a hydrogen-rich atmosphere). The best solution is post-weld heat retention and heat treatment.
Then change it to socket welding right away – that’s safer!
