Analysis of the production and sales volume of China's surfactant industry. The China Detergent Products Association authorized the Surfactant Professional Committee of the China Detergent Association to compile statistics on the production and sales volume of surfactant and raw material manufacturers across the country. Based on the production and sales data reported by nearly 40 major surfactant and raw material manufacturers in 2001, the summary and analysis are as follows. 1. Production and sales of surfactant raw materials 1.1 National alkylbenzene production has achieved the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" ahead of schedule. The paraffin cracking method of Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Company to produce alkylbenzene was discontinued in the second half of 2001 and will no longer be produced. In the first half of the year, 5,000 tons of alkylbenzene were produced. Fushun Washing, Jinling and Jintong are all Dehydrogenation production equipment. After capacity expansion and transformation, the production capacity of Fushun washing and chemical plant has been expanded to 200,000 tons, and the production capacity of Jinling and Jintong has been expanded to 100,000 tons. So far, the national alkylbenzene production equipment capacity has reached 400,000 tons. In 2001, the production situation of Jinling and Jintong was very good, with output exceeding 100,000 tons. Due to some effects of capacity expansion, Fushun washing plant The output of chemical plants is slightly lower than the output in 2000, which is 130,000 tons. Adding 5,000 tons from Beijing Yanshan, the national total output reaches 346,000 tons, an increase of 50,300 tons compared with 2000, and an annual growth rate of 17%. The "Tenth Five-Year Plan" industry plan requires about 350,000 tons of alkylbenzene. It can be said that this task has been achieved ahead of schedule. A total of 269,800 tons of hydrogen-processed alkyl benzene were sold, and about 3,000 tons were exported. Beijing Yanshan considered all sales. Since both Jinling and Jintong have sulfonation units, the two companies used a total of 54,000 tons of alkyl benzene for the production of alkyl benzene sulfonic acid, with a total sales volume of 331,800 tons. Therefore, the actual domestic consumption of alkyl benzene reached 327,000 tons. It was learned from the customs that in 2001, about 3,353 tons of dodecylbenzene was imported and 1,652 tons were exported. The import and export were offset, with a net import of about 1,700 tons. The import volume was 9,897 tons less than in 2000. , decreased by 75%, and exports increased by 1,650t. Based on this calculation, the domestic alkylbenzene market (including self-produced and net imported alkylbenzene) is 328,500t. In addition, a small amount of branched chain alkylbenzene is also imported. 1.2 Domestic fatty alcohol production is growing rapidly, natural alcohols are increasing sharply, and market competition will become more intense. In 2001, the production of fatty alcohols of 7 companies including Fushun Xihua, Dalian Huaneng, Zhejiang Phoenix (including leased Shangqiu production), Shanghai Shuangle, Changzhi Shuangle, Wuhan Sifangxing and Wuxi Chemical was counted, and the total production was 4 .08 million tons, of which only one Fushun washing and chemical plant produces synthetic alcohol, with an output of 2,830 tons. Therefore, the total natural alcohol output is 37,980 tons, accounting for 93% of the total output. The total output in 2001 increased by more than 18,000 tons compared with 2000, and the annual growth rate was 80%. The natural alcohol output increased by 2. 6.54 million tons, an increase of 2.32 times. This is mainly due to the fact that the original natural alcohol plant has been revitalized through corporate leasing and reform. In addition, the domestic market situation has improved, the natural oil supply is sufficient, the price is cheap, and the manufacturers are profitable, so the natural alcohol output has grown rapidly. Judging from the production and sales reported by Dalian Huaneng, Zhejiang Phoenix and Wuliu Sifang, the sales situation is also good, and the inventory is not large. Although the Fushun washing and chemical plant only produces 2825t, it has reduced the amount of synthetic alcohol that became inventory in 2000, indicating that the national fatty alcohol market is expanding and the sales situation is very good. It was learned that after technical transformation, Jiangmen Geely's 10,000-ton fatty alcohol plant has a capacity of up to 12,000 tons and was completed in November 2001. It is estimated that the national natural fatty alcohol output will reach about 50,000 tons in 2002, which can basically meet the domestic market demand. It was learned from the customs that C 12 was imported in 2001. 、C16 and C18 fatty alcohols are about 7774t, exports are 15t, and net imports are 7759t, which is a decrease of 3806t, or 33%, from the previous year. If the domestic alcohol plus net imported alcohol is regarded as the domestic fatty alcohol market, the national fatty alcohol market will be about 50,000 tons. It is expected that the import volume of fatty alcohols will further decrease in 2002. 1.3 The output of fatty amines has increased significantly. According to statistics, there are 6 major fatty amine (including primary amines, tertiary amines and amides) manufacturers (Jiangsu Feixiang, Shanghai Jingwei, Shandong Boxing China Resources, Sichuan Lutianhua, Tianjin Heshe and Changzhi Onik). The total output is 23,120 tons, of which tertiary amines are 15,120 tons, accounting for 65% of the total output. Compared with 2000, the total output increased by more than 40%, of which tertiary amines increased by 27%. Jiangsu Feixiang has the largest output, accounting for more than 65% of the total output of fatty amines, of which tertiary amines account for 80%. Those with primary amine output of more than 1,000 tons include Jiangsu Feixiang, Shandong China Resources and Sichuan Lutianhua. From the sales situation, the production-to-sales ratio reaches more than 95%. 2 Production and sales of surfactants 2.1 Anionic surfactant (a-SAA) Alkylbenzene sulfonic acid is the a-SAA with the largest output. There are nearly a hundred sets of sulfonation equipment in China, which are mainly used to produce alkylbenzene sulfonic acid, AS and AES. Since there are many manufacturers of alkylbenzene sulfonic acid, it is difficult to make complete statistics, so it is more reliable to estimate the output of alkylbenzene sulfonic acid based on the amount of alkylbenzene. If the country consumes 327,000 tons of alkyl benzene, if all is used to produce alkyl benzene sulfonic acid, it can produce about 433,000 tons of alkyl benzene sulfonic acid. Six manufacturers with an output of alkyl benzene sulfonic acid exceeding 17,000 tons include Jinling Petrochemical, Jintong Petrochemical, Guangzhou Langqi, Tianjin Hewash, Shanghai Koning and Shanghai Baimao. In 2001, the total output of 14 AES manufacturers was 72,810 tons. The output of 6 AESA manufacturers was 7,550 tons, and the total output was 80,360 tons (100% active substance calculation). In 2000, the statistics of 12 companies (missing Shanghai White Cat) and Anqing Nanfeng) the total output of AES and AESA is 86,960 tons (active materials are available in various specifications of 70% and 25%). If it is converted into 100% active materials, it is 60,870 tons. The output in 2001 significantly exceeds that in 2000. Production with an output of more than 10,000 tons There are three companies: Zhejiang Gelida, Shanghai Corning and Dalian Huaneng. According to statistics, there are 4 AS and 5 ASA production companies, with an output of 26,760 tons (equivalent to 100% active substance), which is a large increase compared with 2000. Since ASA is less irritating than AS, it is , the output of ASA increased significantly in 2001. Companies with a combined output of AS and ASA above 5,000t include Shanghai Toothpaste, Zhejiang Gileda and Changzhi Aonic, and those with a output close to 5,000t include Hunan Lichen Aowei. Looking at the overall sales situation, the production-to-sales ratio is over 93%. Other a-SAA including AOS, sulfosuccinate, phosphate ester and 209 detergent are close to 10,000 tons. Therefore, excluding alkyl benzene sulfonic acid production, the national a-SAA production in 2001 was 117,000 tons. Including the sulfonic acid production, the national a-SAA production could reach 550,000 tons. According to customs statistics, in 2001, 18,860 tons of a-SAA were imported and 6,247 tons were exported, which were 2,136 tons and 153 tons less than in 2000 respectively. Imports and exports offset each other, resulting in a net import of 12,600 tons. Therefore, if alkyl benzene sulfonic acid production is included and net imports are added, the national a-SAA market is more than 560,000 tons. 2.2 Nonionic surfactant (n-SAA) The n-SAA manufacturers included in this statistics include: 12 AEO series, 9 TX series, and 7 others (polyoxyethylene esters or ethers of fatty acids or fatty amines and polyol esters, alkanolamides, APG and PEG, etc.). The AEO series output is 144,100 tons, the TX series is 36,000 tons, and the others are 4,210 tons. The total output is 184,300 tons, an increase of 41% over 2000. If it has not been included in the 2001 report Including the estimated output of Shanghai Petrochemical Technology Company, Fushun Dongyuan Chemical Plant and Beijing Sifang Fine Chemical Company, the total national n-SAA output can reach 200,000 tons, an increase of 53% over 2000, and the growth rate is very fast. According to customs statistics, in 2001, 58,556 tons of n-SAA were imported and 1,511 tons were exported. Compared with 2000, imports increased by 12,156 tons and exports decreased by 390 tons. Imports and exports were offset, with a net import of 57,045 tons. If the domestic n-SAA production plus the net imported n-SAA amount is regarded as the domestic n-SAA market, the n-SAA market will be approximately 257,000 tons. 2.3 Cationic (c-SAA) and zwitterionic surfactant (z-SAA) Statistics of the output of 5 c-SAA manufacturers are 5793t, of which quaternary ammonium salt is 5479, accounting for 95% of the total output. In 2001, it increased by 140% compared with 2000, which can be said to be a rapid growth. According to customs statistics, the import of c-SAA in 2001 was 4871t, and the export was 573t. Compared with the import in 2000, the import decreased by 296t, and the export increased by 445t. The import and export offset each other, and the net import in 2001 was 4298t. If the domestic c-SAA production plus the net import volume are regarded as the domestic c-SAA market, the c-SAA market in 2001 was about 10,000 tons. According to statistics, the output of 4 z-SAA companies is 10,500t. Shanghai Gaowei Company is currently the largest manufacturer in the country. According to customs statistics, other SAA (regarded as z-SAA) imports 10,190 tons and exports 0,242,000 tons. The import and export balance, and the net import is 7,770 tons. The domestic market of z-SAA is about 20,000 tons. The total national output of c-SAA and z-SAA is about 16,000 tons, and the market is about 30,000 tons. According to the above incomplete statistical analysis, the total output of the national surfactant industry in 2001 was about 770,000 tons, of which a-SAA accounted for 72%, n-SAA accounted for 26%, c-SAA accounted for 0.75%, and z-SAA accounted for 1.2%. The market demand was about more than 800,000 tons. Obviously, the import volume was not large. Judging from the production situation in 2001, the growth momentum is very good, and it is expected that the growth rate will be faster in 2002. The above statistics are mainly based on data reported by production companies. Since there are still some companies that have not reported data, especially the lack of production and sales of tertiary amines and amphoteric surfactants produced by some small and medium-sized enterprises, the above analysis is only for reference by the industry and production companies that have joined the statistical network.
