Which is better, the scraper on the coke oven door cleaning device or high-pressure water?
High-pressure water cleaning is probably the better option. Both high-pressure water cleaning and mechanical scraper cleaning have their advantages; mechanical scrapers tend to get dirty easily, but the investment required is low, while high-pressure water cleaning results in a cleaner outcome but involves a high cost – a set of high-pressure water cleaning equipment for a 6-meter coke oven costs around 2 million yuan. In principle, high-pressure water used to clean the furnace door can have an impact on the bricks in the furnace door, but in practical production no damage to these bricks has been observed so far.
