Our chloride system has been operating under a pressure of 0.5 MPa for a long time; with the recent technical upgrades aimed at increasing capacity, is it safe to raise the system pressure to 0.65 MPa? Do the equipment units need to be retested?

There should be no problem. The pressure resistance of systems used in general engineering installations is available in several levels such as 0.6 MPa, 1.0 MPa, and 1.6 MPa; yours should be at least 1.0 MPa, so there shouldn’t be any issues. Of course, it’s still a good idea to do a calculation.
If it’s a new device, there’s definitely no problem; generally, devices are designed with a safety factor. But do not proceed blindly; a comprehensive inspection is necessary, and it is also important to consider whether the safety accessories of the equipment meet the requirements, such as safety valves, explosion-proof devices, pressure gauges, and so on! ! !
It may be fine to use it, as Chinese standards provide a large degree of design margin. However, from a safety perspective, retesting is necessary. The pressure tests conducted during equipment design generally do not reach 1.3 times the designed pressure; when this limit is exceeded, even exceeding the pressure used in hydrostatic tests, retesting is definitely required.
