Choosing the appropriate type of control valve for use in dusty environments can reduce the risk of jamming.
Valves of any type can become clogged by dust, and considering the material or the design of the valve core does not provide a solution. This is because dust adheres to the valve body, and gradually more and more dust accumulates there. Through compression and mixing with various substances, it eventually forms hard lumps, which lead to blockage of the valve. . . Only regular cleaning. . . . . Another method is to increase the air supply pressure to the valve slightly, which might have some effect.
Among angle valves, there is a Venturi-type angular control valve. The main difference between this type of valve and ordinary angle valves is that the upper chamber of the valve body is designed in a streamlined shape, which provides a smoother flow for the fluid and helps to prevent deposition and blockages. If it isn’t moved frequently, it’s fine to wrap the entire valve in a plastic bag. The desuperheating water actuator for our plant’s boiler is located outdoors, very close to the boiler. Just wrap it in plastic sheeting – it’s often affordable and very useful.
