Is there such a place? When I was in school, I seem to have purchased databases from many different sources; now I can’t access them anymore. It’s still easier to find materials at school
It is a research institution. There really was such a website at that time.
http://www.pat2pdf.org/ is a website for downloading U.S. patents in packaged form; I’m not sure if this is the one you’re referring to
http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html is the official website for U.S. patents; it might be useful
