Why are the colors of the colored lines in the drawings produced by an HP500 plotter so pale when CAD is used for drawing?
The poster is referring to the issue of using black ink to print colored lines, right? When trying to print colored objects with black ink, the colors do appear rather faint. The reason for this is that when using black ink, only black and white colors can be printed; other shades are \"simulated\" using two colors. Different densities of black ink dots are used to create various gray shades. In contrast, for colored printing, each pixel’s color is composed of three (or four) colors, resulting in full-color shades, and thus there is no issue of the printed colors appearing faint. Additionally, issues of this kind may also arise due to the ink-saving mode being enabled, the use of economical ink cartridges, or problems with the drivers.
Set the print style in the print menu of CAD, that is, change all colors of the print style in the Format View dialog box to black in the Color field under Properties, using the object color.
Set the styles in the Print Style Manager and change all colors to black for output. That’s it
