Regarding rolling bearings and sliding bearings

Does anyone know if it’s possible to distinguish between thrust bearings and sliding bearings by looking at the bearing housing? How to distinguish?
For the same unit, there should be differences, as the main stress directions of the two types of bearings are different, and therefore the bearing housings will certainly vary. It’s hard to say for products from different units or different manufacturers. :lol
