In 2007, the DME industry experienced tremendous growth. So, for those 200,000-tonne facilities, how many are operating normally? Everyone can discuss it.
Our company is currently building a 200,000-ton DME plant, with plans to start operations by the end of January; it remains to be seen whether this will go smoothly.
China’s first batch of coal-based dimethyl ether produced using the Ningdong process, the world’s most advanced (2007-12-30 10:46:33). Source: Ningxia Daily. Yesterday, Shenhua Ningmei Group’s production facility capable of manufacturing 210,000 tons of dimethyl ether per year was successfully put into operation for the first time. This marks Shenhua Ningxia Coal Group’s leadership in China in terms of having the capability and infrastructure to produce dimethyl ether from coal as a raw material, laying a solid foundation for the coal chemical projects under construction or in the planning stage at the Ningdong facility. Upon learning of the successful trial operation of the dimethyl ether project, Chen Jianguo, member of the Party Committee of the autonomous region, made a special trip to the Ningdong Chemical Industry Base to gain a detailed understanding of the progress of the methanol project already in operation at Shenhua Ningmei Group, the 210,000 tons per year dimethyl ether production facility, as well as the coal-based olefins project under construction and the first phase of the project involving 830,000 tons per year of dimethyl ether production and 600,000 tons per year of methanol production. At the construction site of the coal indirect liquefaction infrastructure project, Chen Jianguo urged the officials in Shenhua Ningmei Group to accelerate the progress of the ongoing projects and strive for their early commissioning and operation. The production facility capable of producing 210,000 tons of dimethyl ether per year began construction on September 10, 2006. It is a supporting project for the project aimed at producing 250,000 tons of methanol per year, and it is also one of the key projects included in the plan for the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base. The project adopts the Texaco full waste-heat recovery process, which is currently the most advanced energy-saving technology in the world. This unit also has the highest design capacity among industrial units for methanol synthesis and distillation, as well as dimethyl ether synthesis and distillation, both domestically and internationally. It is understood that since trial production began on December 24, the production process has been operating normally, and all the products produced meet the standards for top-quality items.
