1. Before taking the product out of the furnace, first check whether the traction machine is operating properly, whether there are any broken strands in the wire rope, whether the joints are secure, whether the trolley connecting plates are reliable, and whether there are partitions in the calcium carbide pot and whether they are properly in place. 2. Pay attention to the liquid level in the pot at all times when taking it out of the oven; the carbide pot should not be filled to the brim to prevent splashing during movement. 3. When the calcium carbide flow is slow, pull it with a Soldering iron; this is done before blocking the opening, once the calcium carbide has almost stopped flowing. Pull it in deeply with a drill bit (at least 1.5 meters into the eye). 4. The eye-blocking mud balls are made by mixing refractory soil with water to form cones or square pyramids, with their size determined according to the conditions of the furnace openings. 5. The mud balls should not be too soft; in winter, they need to be kept warm to prevent freezing, thereby avoiding explosions. 6. After covering the eyes, clean up the calcium carbide slag and spread mud to prepare for putting it into the furnace. 7. The furnace openings need to be maintained regularly; a burning tool should be used to burn away the solidified calcium carbide in order to maintain the shape of the furnace openings. 8. The depth of the furnace opening is 0.7–0.9 m from the outer wall inward; the depth and height of the furnace opening must remain stable, with no significant fluctuations allowed. 9. Remove the heavy pot, replace it with an empty one, and pour the contents back in promptly to prevent spills. 10. Keep the ground in front of the furnace dry; it is strictly prohibited to take the furnace out when there is water in that area. 11. It is prohibited to close the switch under load when the furnace eye is on fire (with the carbon rod in contact with the furnace eye). 12. Oxygen blowing operation ; A: Precautions: (1) First, use a burner to burn the eye to a certain depth. (2) The iron pipe joints must be welded tightly to prevent air leakage; all joints need to be secure. (3) Cover it with an iron plate; the iron plate must be hung securely. (4) When blowing oxygen, at least three people are required to operate: one to turn on the oxygen supply, one to control it, and one to monitor it. (5) It must be ensured that the handle does not have any openings that could allow air leakage and cause injury. B. Oxygen blowing operation procedures ; (1) Once everything is ready, insert the iron pipe into the furnace opening and align it using the viewing hole. (2) After iron comes into contact with the eye. Pull back 1 centimeter to prevent suffocation and avoid damaging anyone by rupturing the air pathway. (3) Close the viewing port, and the person in charge shall give the order to supply oxygen; the operator responsible for supplying oxygen must do so gradually. It should be done slowly, from small to large. (4) After blowing out the air from the eye, insert the iron pipe deep into the furnace to ensure complete clearance. (5) Notify the oxygen shutdown before removing the pipe, but do not shut it off completely to prevent the risk of tempering. (6) When the oxygen pressure is reduced to 1–2 kgf/cm2, pull out the iron pipe, and then turn off the oxygen completely. (7) If it cannot be blown open at once, the operation can be repeated. (8) The supervisor should always pay attention to protecting the operators.
