As far as I know, there are no particular challenges associated with storing high- and low-temperature residue oils; conventional designs typically use fixed-roof storage tanks, and the storage temperature for these tanks is determined based on the properties of the residue oil. As far as I know, there is a chemical plant in Dalian that uses external floating roofs for storing residue oil at high temperatures, and the results have been quite good! It can therefore be seen that for the high-temperature and low-temperature tanks in residue oil tanks, fixed roofs or external floating roofs can be used; as long as the design temperature is properly controlled, current sealing materials are more than sufficient to handle temperatures of 160 degrees.
What you said isn’t entirely correct, because high and low temperatures impose different stress requirements on materials, as well as different requirements on the foundation; however, the details are not very clear.
