When is a safety valve necessary, and when can it be omitted? Has anyone seen the regulations on this matter?
During inspections, the safety inspection department requires that pressure relief devices must be installed on pressure vessels and piping networks!
All in-service pressure vessels falling within the scope of application of the \"Regulations on Safety Inspection of Pressure Vessels\" shall be equipped with safety valves or burst discs. If the pressure source is external to the container and can be reliably controlled, it does not need to be installed directly on the container; it can be installed on the inlet pipeline, provided that the discharge volume meets the requirements.
