I have a suggestion: I hope the forum won’t insert advertisements in posts without the permission of the poster. This is not good, as it gives the impression that the poster is being forced to promote the forum. The forum can use other methods of advertising to make money. Last time, I thought it was the poster who had added the advertisement. Last edited by vagromfish on 2007-12-27 at 16:46.]
I support the suggestion above; ads can be placed specifically in the ad section, which helps maintain the professionalism of the forum.
Great, we need more people like the original poster!
Boss, a full stomach doesn’t understand the hunger of those who are hungry. The forum needs to be maintained, and necessary advertisements are inevitable; otherwise, how can we afford the space? If there were a dedicated advertising section, would you even check it out? There are ads that no one is watching. If you were the owner, would you be willing to spend money on them? The poster’s question can only be described as an ideal – an ideal that cannot be realized.
You misunderstood what I meant. There are many ways to display advertisements; it doesn’t have to be in dedicated ad sections. Things like pop-up ads, ads at the top of web pages, and floating ads, for example. All I ask is that advertisements not be inserted within individual posts, such as between the title and the main text – doing so gives the impression that it’s the poster who is advertising. I’ve only seen this type of advertisement on this forum so far; maybe I’m just uninformed. Eliminating this form of advertisement isn’t an unattainable goal; one can simply learn from other forums. It depends on what the forum administrators decide.
It makes sense; relevant ads are one thing, but even ads for low-quality hospitals show up.
Thank you all for your support; I hope more people will pay attention.
Keep pushing until the situation improves
I have some personal opinions and views regarding your reply. In my opinion, the forum is already very clean and tidy. If you add pop-up ads or floating ads, it will change the atmosphere of the entire forum and go against the original purpose for which it was created. The forum is meant for everyone to learn and communicate with each other… Adding such ads would give it a more commercial feel. Do you really think you’d still want to visit a forum filled with pop-up and floating ads? A moderate amount of advertising is sufficient. I think HaiChuan is doing a great job – ads are only placed on the first post. If one day ads start appearing above every reply, our interest in the forum might drop significantly. For the development of HaiChuan, let’s all offer our support and contribute by helping others out.
It seems that the person upstairs still doesn’t understand what I mean. The advertising methods I mentioned are just examples; forum administrators can consider other options. My only requirement is that advertisements should not be placed between the title and the content of the posts we share. Would it be pleasant to see an advertisement for sexually transmitted diseases right after reading a post’s title, with the actual content coming below that? It’s awkward.
Furthermore, I have some objections to my posts being forced to be moved here. Will ordinary netizens come here to read them? I hope the administrators can conduct a survey to find out how many netizens are actually willing to accept this form of advertising.
] I agree with the poster on this point… Forum advertisements can be presented in other ways... but the forum also needs to survive. I hope the administrators can take some measures in this regard.
There is also a trend of an increasing number of ads; originally they were just placed below the title, but now another one has been added below the first post
It’s a way to make money on the forum; there’s nothing wrong with that! ! !
There are many ways to make money, but I don’t like this method
The advertisement on the 2nd floor is provided by Ali Mama, and its relevance to the content is somewhat low. The ads on the first floor cannot be stopped; the costs of running the forum are quite high these days. If you come across any inappropriate ads, please tell me its website address so that I can block it; it won’t appear again next time. Between the theme and the main text on the first floor are Google ads; the content of these ads is closely related to the chemical industry. Occasionally, some irrelevant ads appear. If anyone is interested, they can note down the address (there’s a small line with the address below the ad), and let me know, so that I can set up filters in the backend to block such content. I also wish for nothing, but that’s impossible at the moment; the costs of running the forum are rising steadily as the number of visitors increases, and those costs are quite high. This amount of advertising revenue isn’t enough to cover it, but it’s better than nothing.
After all this time, they still don’t understand what I mean. I don’t care how many ads are used or what kind of ads they are; all that matters to me is that ads shouldn’t be placed between the title and the content of the same post, as it’s uncomfortable. Why do I have to repeat the same thing over and over? I feel like Xiang Lin’s wife already.
