New guidelines for safety assessment have also been released, and they include requirements for both qualitative and quantitative analysis. These guidelines will come into effect on January 1st. In my opinion, the qualitative and quantitative analysis part should be the responsibility of those involved in safety assessment; those of us who work on the manufacturing process may not be able to handle it properly
