Use stainless steel; it’s too luxurious. So few people do this; generally, anti-corrosion treatment is applied to carbon steel. You might want to try nickel-phosphorus plating as an anti-corrosion material
If the cause is an increase in the S content in the fuel, then the main form of corrosion in the exhaust gases is caused by SO2 being converted to SO3, which then condenses in water to form H2SO4 that causes corrosion. The materials chosen for use with concentrated sulfuric acid and dilute sulfuric acid are completely different; therefore, detailed information is needed to make a proper determination.
