When AutoCAD starts, the default basic menu file “acad.mnu” is loaded automatically; its default path can be viewed under “Tools→Options→Files→Menu, Help, and Other File Names→Menu Files”. 　　Among them, those with the suffix mnu are the original ASCII menu files, mnc are the compiled menu files, and mns are the source menu files. 　　 When AutoCAD starts, it searches in the default path in the order of mns→mnc→mnu; finding any type of file allows an mnc file to be created and loaded. If none of these files are found, the aforementioned message window will appear. After pressing “OK” to enter AutoCAD, the toolbar disappears, and there is no option in the relevant menu to restore it. But the command line can still be used at this time; simply enter the “menu” command, and a “Select Menu File” window will appear. Find any of the aforementioned menu files and open it to restore the toolbar. 　　If the file is damaged or deleted, a menu file can be copied from another computer with AutoCAD running properly and loaded using the same method. Of course, it is also possible to copy the functional menu file to the default path; in this case, AutoCAD will load it automatically without the need for manual setup. The “options” command can be used to open the Options window and view the default path.
